"Gas switches" is how many different mixes this computer can be programmed to switch between mid-dive, mostly relevant for technical/staged-decompression diving. It doesn't tell you which gas types (air, nitrox, trimix) are supported. See Gas types and the product description above for that.

Pros
  • Wireless air integration for up to four transmitters, standard on this model
  • Tilt-compensated digital compass, which the base Peregrine lacks
  • Wireless (inductive) charging alongside Bluetooth log sync
Cons
  • Recreational depth ceiling of 120m, shallower than the Perdix/Petrel line
  • No CCR mode
  • Costs $200 more than the base Peregrine for the AI upgrade

The Peregrine TX takes the base Peregrine’s approachable single-gas-plus-nitrox layout and adds wireless air integration and a compass, positioning it as a step-up recreational computer rather than a technical one. It’s still capped at 120m and doesn’t touch CCR, so divers who need those go to the Perdix or Petrel 3 instead.
