"Gas switches" is how many different mixes this computer can be programmed to switch between mid-dive, mostly relevant for technical/staged-decompression diving. It doesn't tell you which gas types (air, nitrox, trimix) are supported. See Gas types and the product description above for that.

Pros
  • Wireless air integration for up to two transmitters, showing tank pressure and gas time remaining
  • Same rugged AA-battery design and size as the standard Perdix
  • Up to 5 gases with CCR fixed-setpoint support
Cons
  • Listed price found includes a transmitter bundle, computer-only pricing will run lower
  • Superseded in Shearwater's current lineup by the Perdix 2
  • Bulkier and pricier than needed for casual recreational diving

The Perdix AI took the standard Perdix’s AA-battery, tec-focused design and added wireless air integration, without changing the external size or shape. It’s since been succeeded by the Perdix 2, but remains a common sight on tec and rec-tec crossover divers.
