"Gas switches" is how many different mixes this computer can be programmed to switch between mid-dive, mostly relevant for technical/staged-decompression diving. It doesn't tell you which gas types (air, nitrox, trimix) are supported. See Gas types and the product description above for that.

Pros
  • Monitors up to 6 wireless transmitters simultaneously
  • Digital compass with GPS for surface navigation between preset waypoints
  • Induction or cable charging, plus a plug-in O2 analyzer for setting gas mixes directly on the computer
Cons
  • First-generation computer from a brand better known for regulators
  • Premium price for a 100m depth rating
  • Sidemount and CCR modes are wasted if you only dive single-tank recreational

The DSX is Apeks’s first computer built entirely in-house, aimed at technical divers who want sidemount and CCR modes, six-transmitter gas monitoring, and a built-in GPS-assisted compass in one wrist unit.
