"Gas switches" is how many different mixes this computer can be programmed to switch between mid-dive, mostly relevant for technical/staged-decompression diving. It doesn't tell you which gas types (air, nitrox, trimix) are supported. See Gas types and the product description above for that.

Pros
  • Wireless air integration with support for multiple tank transmitters
  • Predictive multi-gas algorithm handles up to 8 gases (2 more in CCR mode)
  • Tilt-compensated 3D digital compass built in
Cons
  • Discontinued by Scubapro, no longer sold new through the manufacturer
  • Wireless transmitter is sold separately and adds real cost
  • Monochrome segmented display, not the matrix/color display of the G3

The Aladin A2 slotted between the entry-level A1 and the watch-style Galileo line, adding wireless air integration, a compass, and multi-gas support in a compact wrist form factor. Scubapro has since discontinued it, so it’s now mostly a used or close-out find rather than something you’d order new from a dive shop.
